The story of By Lilla is one of two passionate momtrepreneurs, Michelle Possin and Colette Feldman, whom were destined to meet. As young girls, both immigrated to the U.S. from Colombia and settled in Miami with their families. As young women, both attended college in Boston, Michelle at Boston University and Colette at Brandeis University. And as new moms, Michelle and Colette became friends, and both wanted to engage their mind and spirit in work, but not in a way that compromised their ability to raise their kids. This need, for a life filled with passion and purpose became the spark that would become By Lilla.
As they brainstormed business ideas, Michelle and Colette found that they often had to choose between not having a hair tie handy when they needed it and the fashion fail of having a boring, black elastic adorn their wrists. So, they decided to take action. Inspired by their long hair, vibrant Colombian heritage and constantly-in-motion lifestyles as new moms, they created By Lilla - handmade, fashion forward bracelets that double as functional hair ties. Stack them, style them, and seize the day.
Like peach, By Lilla is also committed to empowering women. Their bracelets are handmade by women from poor, Latin American communities, providing them with creative work and a healthy income.
A true momtrepreneur, Leah Lerner embodies what peach believes in most - that every woman can be her own boss and live life with passion and purpose.
Born in Minnesota to a family of artists and publishers, Leah’s exposure to the creative world began at a young age. To pursue her dreams of a career in design, she moved to New York to study at Columbia University and Fashion Institute of Technology, and later worked as an accessories designer for American Eagle, Kate Spade, and Liz Claiborne, to name a few.
Her corporate career took a turn in 2009, when she relocated to Tel Aviv with her husband and had to start anew. Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit in the city, and leveraging her innate curiosity and creativity, Leah started creating her own accessories and handbags.
Now, back in the USA, Leah Lerner continues to grow her studio together with her husband and business partner. She designs premium, modern bags and accessories crafted in genuine leather and a palette of vibrant colors.

The leap to entrepreneurship can happen at any age, which is what we love about Debbie Martin's story.
In her 60s, after four decades of working in design, product development, and merchandising for multi-million dollar apparel brands like Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman, and Barney's New York, Debbie Martin held her breath and jumped into building the company she loves.
Having just retired from corporate America at that time, Debbie asked herself "I don't play golf. I've traveled all around the world already for work. So what am I going to do with myself?" She found her answer in scarves - a medium that would allow her to share her personal design vision as well as reach people of all ages, sizes, and across seasons.
Today, Debbie Martin Designs is an eclectic collection of mid- to high-end scarves with a nod to timeless style and a focus on the ever-changing tastes of her customers. Her scarf designs are inspired by the things she loves - the beauty of nature, art, travel scenes, children and more - and they're all made with the intention of inspiring your self-expression.
